I've begun relying heavily on Mesh to enable me to keep both my Windows (work) and Mac (home) computers in sync so that i'm not forced to use something like SyncToy for basic personal documents and pictures - there's nothing else like it and the notice on the forums doesn't sound very comforting...

Can someone from Microsoft comment? Will there be a Live Mesh version for Snow Leopard - its a great product - would be a shame not to continue. I'm avoiding the upgrade to Snow Leopard until I can confirm a couple of pieces of software are going to work - 3 of 4 are in beta and will have snow leopard versions soon - but I have no idea on live mesh?

I hope Abhay sees this and changes the team's stand on this issue. I know Live Mesh is busy preparing the next Wave along with Windows Live and this is not a good time for them to update the Mesh client. However, given the importance of Snow Leopard to Mac Users (especially we are those who are not afraid to try something new!), I really hope that the Live Mesh team could give us something - perhaps a custom build from the last trunk with no new feature? Some of us have put in time and efforts in beta testing Mesh and now we are quite dependent on it, and giving us support like this is the best reward the team could offer!

I upgraded to SL too, but just found out that LM didn't work anymore. A real pain, because it's a vital part of my networking infrastructure.

same as everyone here, I have over 4 devices in my mesh 2 of which are macs. I'll really appreciate some sight of light into when can we be expecting this to work. thanks.

I concur with the other comments. I've become heavily reliant on Live Mesh to sync between my 2 Macs and 5 PCs. A word from MS regarding this issue would be nice, otherwise I guess I'm going to have to go back to DropBox for a while until the new release..

Any chance of a comment or timeframe from Microsoft?

I have to be honest...it's working for me on Snow Leopard, but not fully-featured. I can sync things all day long with no problems whatsoever, whether it's for uploading or downloading. The only thing not working for me is the folder details on who is connected, and being able to invite people; you know, the details for the specific mesh folder you are working in at the time. I used to get that and every now and then it will show up, but most times it's totally gone.

So I can still sync things all day long on my Mac running SL with everyone else using my folders and the folders of their that I use. Don't know what's different about mine, but I'm just offering...it works on mine - just not fully.

Not supporting a new OS version in a beta product is understandable - the focus of the dev team will on stabilising the product in preparation for release rather than increasing the potential for new bugs. However, I think the Live Mesh team could do a better job regarding communications. Rather than simply blogging "Snow Leopard is unsupported at present" it would be good if we could get some indication of if and when support for Snow Leopard is planned in Live Mesh. Like others here, I've come to rely on Live Mesh to keep my Windows and Mac machines in sync and it's quite annoying that I can't use it on my Mac any longer.

I just purchased a MBP that has Snow Leopard preinstalled this week and Mesh is working perfectly. I'm not sure if this is because I have Office 2008 installed as well?

tavella, it works because Live Mesh now works under Snow Leopard. This bug should be closed.

The build that works with Snow Leopard is 0.9.4501.0.
